Mountain House Therapeutic Outreach

Mountain House is a supportive, safe, drop-in environment for adults who are experiencing issues connected with mental illness. Mountain House provides a warm, comfortable environment where adults who are struggling with mental illness can swing by to relax, read, work on the computer, visit with others, or meet with staff members who can help them address their issues and improve the quality of their lives.

Client Services

Individual and group therapy

We address all mental health issues that may arise, such as mental illness, substance abuse, interpersonal relationship issues, depression, anxiety, abuse, grief, and various life changes.

Case Management

Our Case Workers and Primary Therapists meet clients’ social, practical and medical needs through coordination and networking with other organizations. We teach basic life skills that reinforce independence, link clients with community resources, and promote community integration, including volunteer activities on site.

Medication management

Psychiatric consultation and assessment for medication. Medication Management is only available for clients also engaged in therapy.

Scheduled social and recreational opportunities

We provide a safe and inclusive activities that help develop a community of peers and ease feelings of isolation. Activities include art therapy, movie nights, potlucks, walks, hikes, gardening, biking, drumming, yoga, therapeutic field trips, retreats and more.

Job coaching and career support

We assist clients with employment and career decisions, and provide coaching to help clients thrive in the workplace, all in collaboration with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Workforce Services.

Hospital Assessment & Consultation

Our clinicians provide emergency mental health services to patients at St. John’s Medical Center 24/7. We provide liaison services with the Wyoming State Hospital (and other hospitals as appropriate), facilitating admission, tracking treatment, and helping transition a discharged patient to community treatment.
